Martin Engler was born in 1953 in Grabs (SG), Switzerland. He studied art in Zürich and now lives in Geneva. In the course of extensive travels and shows throughout Europe, Africa, America and Asia, he developes distinctive techniques for mixed media, paintings, collages and sculptures. While in La Havana in 2008, he discovered the ancient technic of colagraphy. He was choosen for the XX Bienale of Cuba, he is currently presenting his creation "The Abandoned Safe" in Monaco.

His works are snapshots of an emotional journey linking daily life to Art. His transparent "life Portraits" leave enough space for the spectator to construct hislher own interpretation. Martin Engler's works has been exhibited on most continents, can be found In prestigious collections and was auctionned by Christie's in 1999.
